Space Placements in Industry (SPIN) 2026

Space Placements in Industry is a tried, tested, and reputable route preparing the future workforce for the sector’s current and upcoming need. Gain recognition and foster relationships across the industry by supporting the programme.

The SPIN programme begun in 2013 and places the best students from the UK into host companies in the space sector, for paid 8-week internships over the summer. There are now around 800 SPIN alumni.

There are two ways you can get involved:

1) Help fund SPINternships with organisations within your circles of interest

• Form or strengthen relationships with your desired partners
• Promote your commitment to growth in the space sector
• Upskill the upcoming workforce in your chosen areas of the sector
• Invest in your target technologies and services.

2) Submit your own SPIN projects to host

• Bring clarity to your challenges and opportunities in space technologies and services
• Drive forward innovation projects with fresh energy and insight
• Mentor the next generation of thinkers and doers and save on potential recruitment costs
• Provide an incubator for up-and-coming talent
