The Agronomy Research Circle (ARC) connects networks of farmers, agronomists, researchers and industry with tools, resources and services to understand what works on-farm. It works on shared Explanations, Evidence, Experimentation and Exchange of experiences. We use Earth Observation to support this. Working with Australian company Data Farming we have a developed a Farm Trials platform at https://arc.datafarming.com to make it easy to set up simple strip experiments in fields, using satellite NDVI imagery to judge past spatial variation to enable fair comparisons, and to monitor treatment effects in real time to a line. We are also working to use assimilated satellite data to provide crop metrics for all fields on a farm, integrating with soil, weather and crop management data to understand and improve crop performance.

Our mission in space is to deliver space-enabled solutions for security and future prosperity of the space domain. As a pan-global domain, space enables integration across land, sea, air and cyber. It sits at the heart of achieving military and economic advantage on the world stage, providing secure and rapid access to critical information from anywhere on Earth. With a new site established for satellite manufacture, we are building Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks that help deliver information advantage and multi-domain operations. We are also focused on using our heritage in delivering complex defence programmes to develop the UK’s sovereign space capability, build a more diverse UK space industry, and increase our global influence through partnerships both in the UK and international. We have been working with the European Space Agency (ESA) for over two decades, delivering their Tracking, Telemetry and Command Processor (TTCP). The system delivers the latest generation technology for processing the communication signals sent between near-Earth and deep-space ESA spacecraft and ground stations. Using stations positioned at key locations on the Earth’s surface, TTCP can triangulate the position of a spacecraft with an accuracy of 0.2 millionths of a degree and measure the distance of a spacecraft to within 10 cm anywhere in the solar system. We design hybrid RF/optical ground stations, manufacture space qualified microwave components, and design and manufacture UK MILSATCOM cyber threat resilient and configurable payloads and free space underwater to air/space communications. As part of the satellite applications, we work on EO/ISR geo-intelligence analytics, non-GNSS navigation and specialised satellite antennas.

CUINSPEC Ltd.

Manor Road, Haverhill CB9 0EP, UK

CUINSPEC’s autonomous robotic crawler is engineered to revolutionize the inspection of reusable rockets by tackling the limitations of traditional magnetic and manual methods. Designed for non-magnetic materials like stainless steel commonly used in rocket fuselages and weather jackets, our system employs a high-performance vortex-based suction mechanism combined with a dual-angle-changeable crawler architecture. This allows for stable traversal over complex curved surfaces, vertical walls, and even inverted geometries. The crawler is equipped with state-of-the-art NDT capabilities, including Long-Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT), Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducers (EMAT), and LIDAR, enabling high-fidelity detection of surface and subsurface anomalies without requiring direct contact. What sets CUINSPEC apart is our integration of digital twin technology. Every inspection is digitally mirrored in a physics-based simulation environment, allowing for predictive maintenance, real-time condition monitoring, and risk analysis over time. These digital twins simulate both the rocket structure and the robotic inspection system, ensuring that each deployment is optimized for performance and safety. Together, these technologies enable rapid, accurate inspections between rocket launches—minimizing downtime, increasing launch frequency, and supporting the reliability and lifecycle management of reusable launch systems.

Fenland SOIL is a not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to supporting sustainable, climate-smart farming and land use in the Fens; working at the intersection of science, policy, and practice to drive innovation and collaboration in one of the UK’s most important and challenging agricultural landscapes. Our primary aim is to inform and co-develop whole-farm land use strategies that deliver climate change mitigation, biodiversity enhancement, and long-term agricultural resilience. We work closely with land managers and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are both scientifically robust and practically grounded. A core area of our work is the development of standardised greenhouse gas (GHG) emission factors for different types of peat soils - deep, shallow, and wasted. These soils, which dominate the Fenland landscape, have significant implications for national emissions accounting and local land use decisions. By helping to establish a credible, agreed-upon set of numbers, we aim to support evidence-based policy, enable access to green finance, and unlock opportunities for farmers engaged in nature-based solutions. Fenland SOIL also serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, field trials, and the integration of new technologies that support sustainable land management. Through workshops, applied research, and collaborative partnerships, we are building a regional network committed to securing a productive, low-emissions future for the Fens.

Rosebery Court, Central Avenue, Norwich NR7 0HS, UK

Geologix has been in business for over 30 years, supporting the oil and gas industry with geological interpretation software for use in drilling and wellsite operations. It is a dynamic company with global offices that has moved with the times. Back in 2010, it became a leading training organisation in the digital oilfield and conducted specialist training in all aspects of drilling and production operations to help clients derive business value from the growing availability of operational information through digital technologies. Training remains a key part of Geologix delivery today along with specialist consulting services to deliver operational excellence. Geologix has acquired senior experts in production optimisation, data analytics, data management and pipeline management, including global positioning and cathodic protection. We are now looking at how AI can add value to oil and gas operations and are providing training and consultancy services in Digital Operational Excellence. As with the adoption of digital oilfield some years ago, we are helping clients not only to focus on the technology side but also to manage the necessary changes in work processes and people transition. So why does Geologix have interest in the space sector? The short answer is that through supporting the oil and gas industry Geologix has a wealth of learnings and knowledge that can be applied to other industry sectors. Geologix has recently been helping fertiliser manufacturers to optimise their production operations as their challenges are very similar to the problems faced in oil and gas. We accept that we are new entrants in the space sector but we come with enormous experience and are keen to apply our expertise in this important new development area.

MAIAR is founded upon its expertise, with a team that is highly motivated and passionate about making better sense of the world, and delivering better insights and outcomes for our clients. Our team includes systems engineers, technologists, trials and operational analysis specialists but most relevant to the exploitation of space-based remote sensing, we have experts in imagery and geospatial analysis, highly trained and with industry-leading capabilities. We bring our extensive experience of working at the national level for UK Governments, national security and the Ministry of Defence out into the commercial arena, applying the skills and expertise to benefit each client, and leading the revolution of commercial space insights and intelligence “as a service”. We have strength in organisational design and understand the many barriers and blockers that our clients face in adoption and exploitation of space-based data, the impacts on people, technology and processes, and the supporting solution architecture design required to enable effective operations. Our analytical services are class-leading, with a combination of imagery analysis, geospatial analysis, open-source analysis and commercial data exploitation expertise; some of our work is in assessment of facilities in hard to reach locations or places too unsafe to send personnel; in some cases it is more cost effective to conduct analysis via remote sensing; and in other situations space is the only answer possible, as we have access to a fleet of small satellites that image the entire world’s surface on a near daily basis. Our access to high-resolution imagery is on a “most of market” basis although we have key partnerships with some of the industry leaders in this field. We are doing some amazing work in the field of space-based remote sensing and analysis, and are proud to be a member of the Space East Cluster.
