Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence & Security Cluster

The Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence and Security Cluster (GLRDSC) is an industry-led forum, uniting national and international defence organisations with expertise in manufacturing, research, development, and innovation. This network serves as a single forum to address sector challenges and uncover business opportunities within Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland. By participating in this cluster, businesses can influence and shape the defence and security industry while accessing government funding to foster new ideas, innovations, and product development.

Lincolnshire has established itself as a pivotal hub for Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) due to its long-standing support of RAF operations and the presence of the RAF’s Air and Space Warfare Centre. The GLRDSC advocates this legacy, combining it with the University of Lincoln’s digital capabilities and the region’s secure military sites to promote innovation and technology advancement.
