Matta

At Matta, our mission is to replace the entire design-engineer-build workflow with AI. This will enable reduced waste, improved efficiency and unlock an entirely new, data-driven way to reliably design and manufacture products that today can only be imagined. We currently have 2 products which serve as the base for our vision:
Blue – Computer vision for automatic defect detection, set up in 24 hours, to reduce waste and improve quality from the first day of installation.
Grey – AI integrations to automate machinery throughout the factory to improve quality, yield, and unlock new design possibilities.

Matta is the result of years of patent-pending AI & manufacturing research at the University of Cambridge. Its founding team has experience from institutions like Cambridge, MIT, Imperial, BBC R&D, Google X, Microsoft and includes the PhD and Professor inventors. The team of 6 have technical backgrounds covering disciplines from material science and artificial intelligence to product development and operations management. We share an obsession for improving the state of manufacturing and believe that recent developments in AI hold the key to doing so.
