The space industry is growing at 9% per year. Its carbon emissions coupled with the impact of emitted black carbon, metals and aerosols at very high altitudes means it’s contribution to global warming could become significant.
To counter this, ESAs Green Agenda, launched in 2023 in support of the European Unions Green Deal, includes many measures that will affect space contractors working with ESA, including reporting on the carbon impact they are responsible for.
Near-Zero by Design is an early-stage Carbon Analytics company and recent graduate of the UK Space Agency’s Fusion accelerator programme. They have developed a data platform that makes it easy to calculate, benchmark and improve your businesses carbon impact. They’re looking for customers to work with the first version of the product.
