Meet Dr Scott Steele, Lecturer in Law at ARU Peterborough.
He specialises in space law and planetary protection, and his work sits at the intersection of law, science and policy. He researches the legal and regulatory challenges posed by new space activities, particularly those relating to orbital debris, environmental protection beyond Earth and the application of international law to outer space. He brings his research into practice through mediation, consultancy and industry-facing teaching, and is committed to building productive industry-university partnerships.
